“Define the term “typography” in your own words. Write a few sentences explaining what typography is not!”
Typography is, in my perspective, the science behind type. The definiton of science is according to Oxfords word dictionary “the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.” Typography does just that. Typography is experimenting with fonts and types, making words more appealing and knowing how to style them for each situation.
Typography is not just any text. For example, if I sit and write in my journal it is not typography that’s just writing.
